Happy One Year
Yesterday was the official one year anniversary of the Marlborough Dodgeball League.  As twenty of us roughed it out in the icy cold weather, it reminded me of the MDL's start back in 2005.  The Marlborough Dodgeball League was born in the winter one year ago, and it's truly an honor for me to have played with all of you for an entire year.  God bless you all, and may we continue playing for years to come.
Yet Another Allstar
As of last Wednesday, December 28th, the MDL officially announced its 6th allstar, Sean McGonnel.  He has played nearly since the beginning, and with sterling attendence records and reputation as a leader, it's obvious that he's a good choice.  This is the last allstar who will be elected, as 6 is the maximum.
MDL Music Contracts
As of today, December 9th, 2005, the Marlborough Dodgeball League signed its first band.  The league now has exclusive rights to any and all songs created by the Triple Entente, the rockin new band who's hits include The 80's Song (the MDL official theme song found at the homepage) and Crossfire, which can be heard on the news page on our great website.  It's a wonderful pleasure to have such fine musicians making music for us, and we can only hope that there will be more sweet tunes to rock our website in the near future.
Home Sweet Home
Earlier this month the nets went down in the MHS tennis courts, birthplace of the MDL.  As many of you know, these nets ultimately exiled us to the basketball court of Kane School, and now the question arises...should we go back?  The debate rages along the leaders of the MDL, and strong arguments have come from either side.  Moving back to MHS would temporarily skyrocket our attendance, as it is much easier to get to from our school.  One of the goals of the MDL has always been expansion, and this would fit with moving back.  There are, however, arguments for staying at Kane as well.  The court is a much nicer one than the MHS tennis courts as it is completely caged in, and large in size.  Not only that, but it has the added excitement of basketball hoops to get your team back in.  Staying at Kane would keep our numbers steady, which is good because we don't have enough dodgeballs to support an incredible amount of people.  Not only that, but snow clearing arrangements are also much better at Kane School.  Decide for yourself which court you believe is better, and tell me what you think.  In the meantime, we're staying at Kane.

Unfortunatly, Patrick "The Bold" Feeney must leave for bootcamp.  He has decided to resign from his position and he chose me Chris "Whitey" Stecyk to take his place as Commissoner of the MDL.
